SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer technology. A method for identifying a device through which a user interacts with remote services as potentially dangerous, contains steps at which: using a script executed in the browser on the user’s device, open ports on the user’s device, the IP address of the user’s device, available information about the browser on the user’s device are detected; with the help of a cloud security service, the identified data about the user’s device is analyzed, applying the rules for identifying potentially dangerous devices; with the help of a cloud security service, a potentially dangerous user device is identified in case of a positive result of applying the rules for identifying potentially dangerous devices.
EFFECT: ensuring that the device through which the user interacts with remote services is identified as potentially dangerous.
