FIELD: computing technology.
SUBSTANCE: magnetic drive with divided areas (hereinafter MDDA) is an evolutionary development of an HDD drive and is intended for long-term non-volatile storage of digital information, e.g., in a computer. The principle of operation of the MDDA consists in separate recording of the special sector area to the SSD-mft solid-state memory and the transaction log area to the SSD-log solid-state memory, added to the printed circuit board of the controller of the MDDA. The data sector area therein exclusively occupies all the surfaces of the ferromagnetic layers of the rotating physical disks of the MDDA.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the reliability of information storage.
