BIOMARKERS FOR DIAGNOSING IMPLANT-RELATED RISK OF REPEATED IMPLANT SURGERY DUE TO ASEPTIC LOOSENING Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC G01N33/68

Abstract RU 2757771 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of an implant-related risk of repeated surgery. A method for diagnosing the implant-related risk of repeated surgery includes detecting a level of polypeptide selected from calprotectin, S100A8 and S100A9 in a biological sample from a subject with an implant; comparing the level of polypeptide in the biological sample with a level of polypeptide in a control sample; the control sample is a sample of synovial fluid from a subject who does not suffer from the implant-related risk of repeated surgery; where an increased level of polypeptide indicates the implant-related risk of repeated surgery; or greater or equal to 4 mg/l level of polypeptide indicates a diagnosis of the implant-related risk of repeated surgery; the biological sample is synovial fluid; polypeptide to be detected is secreted polypeptide, and not intracellular polypeptide of intact cells present in the sample. The methods for diagnosing a stage of the implant-related risk of repeated surgery, the use of a set for performing diagnostics of the risk of repeated surgery are also disclosed.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides identification of patients who are at risk of repeated surgery.
