FIELD: agriculture; land cultivation.
SUBSTANCE: fluid mulching composition (10) contains: fibrous peat material (11), pyrolysis oil (12) obtained from biomass and water. Pyrolysis oil (12) obtained from biomass is an unfractionated liquid product obtained from biomass by pyrolysis. Mulching composition (10) is made with the possibility of curing after distribution over soil substrate with the formation of a uniform surface cover layer of a given depth. The method for obtaining mulching composition (10) includes: combining fibrous peat material (11) with water to obtain an aqueous peat suspension, followed by mixing pyrolysis oil (12) obtained from biomass into the specified suspension. Ground covering for soil substrate (20) contains mulching composition (10) in the form of a surface cover layer distributed over soil substrate (20). The use of mulching composition (10) as a pesticide and for recultivation and improvement of soil is also proposed.
EFFECT: inventions make it possible to use substances that are safe for the environment to combat weeds and pests.
