FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biochemistry, in particular to a method for increasing the content of sucrose ester in a tobacco plant. The use of polynucleotide in the specified method; the use of the specified tobacco product for the production of tobacco extract or in a device for heating tobacco; a method for obtaining a plant using the specified method; a method for preparing tobacco extract are also disclosed. A modified plant or part of it containing the increased amount of sucrose ester, a tobacco industry product, a smokeless tobacco product are disclosed.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain tobacco plants with the increased content of sucrose ester.
