FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry, in particular to a tobacco plant cell, characterized by reduced levels of nitrates in dried leaves of a tobacco plant containing said tobacco plant cell. Also disclosed are a tobacco plant, a part of a tobacco plant, a tobacco plant material, a tobacco product containing said tobacco plant cell. Disclosed is a method of producing said tobacco plant.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to efficiently obtain tobacco plants with low level of nitrates in dried leaves.
