SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, especially to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for surgical treatment of lateral instability of the ankle joint. The autograft of the semitendinousus muscle is taken, the free ends of the graft are stitched with threads, stretched and passed through a closed loop of the bone retainer. A through channel is formed in the neck of talus bone, a through L-shaped channel in the distal epiphysis of fibula and a through channel in the center of calcaneus body. The loop of autograft folded in half on a bone retainer is passed through the formed channel in the neck of talus bone from the outside to the inside and fixed with a bone retainer from the inside of the bone. Then, the ends of the autograft are sequentially carried out through an L-shaped channel in distal epiphysis of fibula and a through channel in the calcaneus. Foot is moved to a neutral position. Ends of the autograft are stretched and fixed in channel of the calcaneus from the outside to the inside with an interference screw.

EFFECT: method provides lateral stability of ankle joint, anatomicity while maintaining the normal biomechanics of structures stabilizing the joint, as well as reliable fixation of autograft after its optimal tension due to formation of channels for carrying out autograft at the sites of proximal and distal ligament attachment and the use of a bone retainer and interference screw.
