FIELD: equipment testing methods.
SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to methods for testing equipment for laser communication lines with quantum information reception. The method for testing TCP contains the stages at which: set the key parameters and errors in their determination; setting the reference TCP opposite the tested TCP at a fixed distance to form an optical channel; a calibrated attenuator of the transmitting laser radiation of the reference TCP is installed to reduce the average number of photocounts of information pulses recorded by the TCP under test, up to the theoretical threshold of reliable detection; in the settings of the receiver of the tested TCP, the threshold of reliable detection is determined; test that the speed of transmission and reception of information of the tested TCP is not lower than the specified one; using a power meter, determine the power; calculate the maximum communication distance for this TCP; determine the correspondence of the measured characteristics of the TCP to the specified ones.
EFFECT: provided is ability to accurately determine the characteristics of the TCP and determine the compliance of a specific sample of the TCP with the requirements for its main characteristics: information transmission rate, transmitter power, communication range, the probability of a raw bit error at the maximum communication range.
