FIELD: optical photometry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to optical photometry, namely to technology of measuring absolute sensitivity of photodetectors without using reference photodetectors. Method and device for measuring quantum efficiency of photomultiplier cathode include conjugated laser source, nonlinear crystal, optical system, devices for transmitting scattered radiation to input holes of measured and auxiliary photodetectors with registration units, wherein transmission devices are fixed on adjustable optical elements of scanning circuit, wherein a spectral selection device is installed, connected to the automation, control and data processing unit, and the registration units used are gated integrators with adjustable strobe delay, also connected to the automation, control and data processing unit.
EFFECT: determination of quantum efficiency of photomultiplier cathode of average number of photoelectrons.
