FIELD: packaging.
SUBSTANCE: converting machine is used to convert sheet material into packaging templates for assembly into boxes or other packaging. The converting machine includes a conversion unit that performs functions of a transverse conversion and functions of a longitudinal conversion on sheet material to create packaging templates. A mechanism for detecting fold lines for folding in the form of an accordion detects the presence and location of fold lines for folding in the form of an accordion in sheet material. Based on the location of fold lines for folding in the form of an accordion, fold lines for folding in the form of an accordion are either cut off from sheet material, or sheet material is cut to fit the location of the fold line for folding in the form of an accordion in the packaging template.
EFFECT: obtaining a converting machine for making packaging templates.
