SUBSTANCE: invention relates to variants of a method for reconstructing a low-temperature gas separation plant for producing liquefied natural gas (LNG). According to one variant, a method for reconstructing an installation containing a recuperation unit, input separation units with an input separation gas line and low-temperature separation units with a low-temperature separation gas line connected to a fractionation unit by condensate supply lines, including connecting additional equipment with a low-temperature separation unit, is characterized by the fact that a recuperative heat exchanger is connected as additional equipment with a low-temperature separation unit, placing the latter on a low-temperature separation gas line, in this case, the specified recuperative heat exchanger, which is part of the LNG unit, together with a compressor connected to an expander, a refrigerator, a gas purification and drying unit and a separator, is connected to the gas inlet separation line by a production gas line equipped with a compressor, a refrigerator, as well as a gas purification and drying unit, in addition, the recuperative heat exchanger is connected by a cooled production gas line with an expander and a separator equipped with an LNG output line and a separation gas output line with a recuperative heat exchanger located on it.

EFFECT: production of LNG by connecting an inlet separation gas line or a prepared natural gas line with an LNG production unit connected to a low-temperature separation gas line as a refrigerant.
