SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to variants of composition systems for processing a metal substrate, methods for processing a metal substrate and metal substrates. The first variant of the composition system for processing a metal substrate contains a conversion composition containing a permanganate anion and a sealing composition containing a trivalent chromium cation in an amount from 0.005 to 1 g/l based on the total mass of the sealing composition. The second variant of the composition system for processing a metal substrate contains a cleaning composition containing a hydroxide source, a phosphate source and/or a corrosion inhibitor, including a metal cation and/or azole, and a conversion composition containing a trivalent chromium cation in an amount from 0.005 to 1 g/l based on the total mass of the conversion composition.
EFFECT: protection of the metal surface from corrosion is provided.
