FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to diesel generator sets built into the compartment of various types of machines to provide such machines with direct current electricity when the main engine is not working. A diesel generator set containing a power unit and an air intake unit spatially removed from the power unit and combined with it by a connecting elastic element is proposed. The power unit includes a diesel engine with an air-cooling system and a generator installed on its crankshaft and a flywheel fan closed with a casing with inlet and outlet windows, on the hub of which a cone-shaped fan pulley with a stream for the starting cord for manual backup start is installed on the side of the intake window. The air intake unit contains an air intake in the form of a box with a voltage converter with a rectifier unit installed on it. The connecting elastic element is made in the form of a plate with through windows, at one end of which the air intake unit is fixed, and its other end is connected to the subframe on which the power unit is installed. A cooling system is also proposed for the above-mentioned diesel generator set, which contains an air-cooling system for the diesel head and cylinder and a forced liquid-oil cooling system operating simultaneously with it, consisting of a coolant circuit and an oil cooling circuit.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability and durability of the diesel generator set and an increase in the power developed by the diesel engine when operating in a compartment with a limited volume.
