FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: diesel generator set (DGS) contains an air-cooled diesel engine, a generator with a shaft located on the same axis with the diesel crankshaft, a diesel air cooling system, a generator air cooling system, and a vertical duct for discharging the heated air flow from the diesel engine and the generator with an open upper part and a bottom and an internal inclined partition, which together form a lower compartment for the heated air flow from the generator with a horizontal section decreasing in height and an upper compartment for the heated air flow from the diesel engine, in which there are outlet windows on the side of the upper part of the box, above which the collector is located a compartment formed by the upper part of the walls of the box. In addition, the compartments have inlet and outlet windows. It is proposed to make the entrance socket in the form of a hollow regular polyhedral truncated pyramid with similar parallel bases. The experimentally selected geometry of the inlet socket, the outlet pipe of the casing and the depth to which the outlet pipe is inserted into the socket are stated. In addition, it is proposed to make the walls of the box smoothly mating, forming the lower compartment from the bottom side, and a smoothly curved inclined partition from the side of its horizontally oriented section.
EFFECT: increased productivity, reliability and durability of the diesel generator set, more efficient cooling of the heat-loaded parts of the diesel generator set.
