ADAPTIVE STARTER-GENERATOR SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC H02P9/08

Abstract RU 2758793 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and power electronics and can be used in the construction of starter-generator systems for autonomous objects. The adaptive starter-generator system contains an m-phase synchronous generator with permanent magnet excitation, an m-phase frequency converter along the input terminals with natural commutation based on a direct frequency converter, the output of which is connected to a three-phase AC load and to the terminals of a three-phase AC-DC converter, built on the basis of a bidirectional voltage inverter, the output of which in the DC link is connected to the terminals of a bidirectional DC-DC converter connected in series with a storage battery and a DC load. An m-phase AC-DC converter is connected to the output terminals of the synchronous generator, built on the basis of a bidirectional voltage inverter, the output of which in the DC link is connected in parallel to the output terminals in the DC link of a three-phase AC-DC converter.

EFFECT: inclusion of an m-phase AC-DC converter in the starter-generator system allows reducing mass of the synchronous generator by reducing amount of inactive power consumed from it, as well as to increase efficiency in the mode of electric starter starting from the DC network and to increase reliability of providing generation modes and electric starter starting due to the implementation of the adaptive nature of the system design.
