SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, namely to the cooling systems of a gas turbine engine (GTE) as part of a gas turbine installation (GTI) of gas pumping units (GPU), and can be used to improve the energy efficiency and reliability of the GTE as part of the GPU. The cooling system of the gas turbine engine of the gas pumping unit, containing two electric-driven engine cooling fans, a distribution box, which are located on the roof of the gas turbine engine compartment, a louvered apparatus of the distribution box, an air duct, characterized in that the design of the distribution box is increased in length, which is why the air path is lengthened, the height of the box is also increased, and two combs with guide blades are installed in the distribution box from the side of each engine cooling fan, the shape of the fairing of the distribution box has been changed, which made it possible to create a shock-free, uniform air flow rushing under the noise-insulating casing of the engine when the engine cooling fan is running, while a frequency converter is installed on the main engine cooling fan, and an air pressure indicator is installed in the air duct after the distribution box.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of the GPU-16S gas turbine engine by maintaining the optimal cooling air temperature, reduction in electricity consumption for cooling the gas turbine engine, saving the resource of switching equipment and bearings of electric motors of cooling system fans.
