FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: method and device for air cooling of the engine compartment of the gas pumping unit used in a pressurized ventilation-cooling air-supply system with two pressure fans, one of which is in reserve. Cooling air from the atmosphere is sucked by one of the two fans through the air inlet valve of the northern version and compresses it. After that, the flow of cooling air through the check valve is fed through one of the two air lines to the air distributor, in which it is divided into two equal parts, and two outlet nozzles from the air distributor are fed into the engine compartment on both sides of the gas turbine engine along its outer walls at the level of a horizontal plane passing through the axis of the gas turbine engine. Each of the cooling air flows is supplied to cool the long wall of the engine compartment in the direction of the scroll. Stream is directed to the wall of the compartment at an angle of 10 to 20 degrees horizontally and from 10 to 20 degrees downward along the vertical direction in the direction of the scroll, thereby generating a stable vortex structure, in which the cooling air is supplied along a helical line along the long side of the engine compartment, through which a continuous supply of cooling air to the heated walls of the gas turbine engine is taken and heated air is withdrawn. Exhausted hot air is removed through the two exhaust ports installed at the top of the engine compartment on its long side, while the temperature in the engine compartment is controlled by changing the speed of the fans, and at extremely low ambient temperatures, hot air is admitted to the fans inlet.
EFFECT: design of the system allows increasing the amount of pumped air through the engine compartment by using axial fans that have less power consumption than the centrifugal fans used; equalize the temperature in the engine compartment by recirculating air in the engine compartment in the "hot standby" mode to reduce energy costs when the ventilation system is in sync with the heating system; use the recirculation mode in conjunction with changing the speed of the fan motors during the operation of the gas turbine in the mode in order to prevent the cooling of the compartment at extremely low temperatures of the ambient air.
