FIELD: water purification.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for water purification from suspended particles and oil and petroleum products and can be used in oil production, chemical, petrochemical, food, pharmaceutical, engineering and other industries, as well as in wastewater treatment systems. The method for water purification from suspended particles includes filtration through a granular backfill, in the gaps between the granules of the backfill, a liquid network is created and maintained, consisting of a water-insoluble liquid. The entire surface or most of the surface of the granules of the filling is non-wetting for the liquid from which the liquid network is formed, and the water to be treated passes through the granular filling along the channels formed by the granules and the liquid network. The liquid network covers the cross-section of the granular backfill while maintaining water permeability. The liquid network is formed in the volume of the granular backfill, and the particles captured, not wetted by the liquid network, are removed periodically by washing the granular backfill in a suspended state. The liquid network is formed, at least at the exit from the granular filling, and suspended particles captured by the liquid network are removed together with drops, which are the product of the destruction of the liquid network leaving the granular filling.

EFFECT: invention improves the reliability and efficiency of the process of water purification from suspended particles.
