FIELD: random number generators.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of random number generators (RNG), in particular to quantum RNG (QRNG), based on the interference of laser pulses with a random phase. The random number generator (QRNG) contains: a high-speed laser driver, a Michelson interferometer, two Faraday mirrors and delay lines, a photodetector, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and a computing unit.
EFFECT: improving the quality of the randomness of the digitized numerical sequence due to a detailed analysis of the contribution of classical noise and a rigorous determination of the quantum compression factor, which makes it possible to reliably estimate the ratio of classical and quantum noise.
