FIELD: internet technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an Internet of Things (hereinafter – “IoT”) technology, which is applicable when initializing IoT devices automatically without manual actions. After the initial download, identification information is automatically sent to the endpoint for providing initialization services stored in the IoT device. Identification information includes identification data (identifier) of the first IoT device. Cryptographic information is received from the initialization service. Cryptographic information is associated with an IoT hub selected from a set of IoT hubs, partly based on the identifier of the first IoT device. A message is automatically sent to the IoT hub in response to receiving cryptographic information.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of automatic updating of firmware received from the IoT hub, without the need for binding to the user.
