SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for reproducing an audio signal for playback to the user. The information about the orientation of the head of the user is determined using an optical sensor. The information about the orientation of the optical sensor in the coordinate system associated with the Earth is determined using an orientation sensor placed in a predetermined positional ratio relative to the optical sensor. The information about the orientation of the optical sensor is taken into account in determining the information about the orientation of the head, resulting in at least one parameter about the orientation of the head relative to the coordinate system associated with the Earth, regardless of the current orientation of the optical sensor or the orientation of the equipment carrying or containing the optical sensor. Spatial reproduction of the audio signal is performed depending on the information about the orientation of the head of the user.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of adjustment during reproduction of an audio signal for playback to the user.
