FIELD: material engineering; nanotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials science and nanotechnology and can be used in hydrogen energy and water purification technologies. The device for producing nanocrystalline titanium dioxide with the anatase structure contains a coaxial magnetoplasma accelerator with a cylindrical electrically conductive barrel 1 made of titanium, a central electrode consisting of a tip 2 made of titanium and a shank made of steel 3. The cylindrical electrically conductive barrel 1 and the central electrode are connected electrically by a fusible link 4 made of petroleum jelly weighing 0.10-0.25 g and applied to the surface of the insulator 5. The accelerator housing 6 is made of magnetic material, and the length of its part overlapping the placement zone of the fusible link 4 is 40÷50 mm, and its outer surface is conical. The solenoid 7 is made in one piece with the flange 8 and the cylindrical part 9, reinforced with a threaded plug 10 and a durable fiberglass housing 11 and tightened with powerful conductive studs 12 between the flange 8 and the fiberglass thrust ring 13. The first busbar 15 of the external power supply circuit is connected to the conductive studs 12, electrically connected to the conductive ring 14. To the second busbar 16 of the power supply circuit connected to the shank 3, a key 17 and a capacitor bank 18 with a capacity of 14.4 mF connected to the first busbar 15 are connected in series. The free end of the cylindrical electrically conductive barrel 1 is inserted into the first cylindrical chamber 19 through an axial hole in the first side cover 20 and is hermetically fixed with O-rings 21 and studs 22 connecting the ring 23 resting against the flange 8 and the first side cover 26. The first cylindrical chamber 19 is connected by means of the first 24 and second 25 valves to pressure vessels equipped with pressure gauges, filled, respectively, with oxygen and argon, and through the bypass valve 28 to the second cylindrical chamber 27, which is connected through the third valve 30 to the pre-vacuum pump and closed by the fourth side cover 31. The inlet pipe of the bypass valve 28 is inserted into the axial hole in the second side cover 26, and its outlet pipe is inserted into the axial hole in the third side cover 29.
EFFECT: invention provides a low content of impurity phases in the resulting nanocrystalline titanium dioxide with an anatase structure.
