SCREENING METHOD FOR DETECTING HEARING DISORDERS IN PRESCHOOL CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B5/12

Abstract RU 2759485 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to otorhinolaryngology and sign language. The examination is carried out in two stages. At the first stage, the method of tympanometry is used, at the second stage, the method of otoacoustic emission at the frequency of the distortion product. The examination begins with the use of the tympanometry method at a sounding tone frequency of 226 Hz with a pressure change rate from +200 to -400 daPa/s. According to the obtained tympanograms, which have a peak dependence of static compliance on changes in positive or negative air pressure in the external auditory canal, the pressure in daPa/s is estimated, at which the peak of compliance is recorded. If the pressure in the tympanic cavity and the external auditory canal is equalized, and the pressure at which the peak of compliance is recorded is from +50 to -100 daPa/c, the function of the middle ear is assessed as normal. The examination by the method of otoacoustic emission is continued. In case of detection of pathology of the middle ear according to the results of tympanometry, the child is referred for treatment of pathology of the middle ear. Then, after 3 weeks, repeated tympanometry is performed and the examination is continued by the method of otoacoustic emission at the frequency of the distortion product. The registration criterion is the ratio of the emission power to the background noise power +6dB in 70% of the frequency bands. If, according to the results of the otoacoustic emission, pathology is detected at the frequency of the distortion product, the child is sent to a hearing center for examination.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the reliability and objectivity of controlling the hearing pathology in preschool children.
