METHOD FOR MULTILEVEL TONAL ADAPTIVE SCREENING IN EXTENDED RANGE OF AUDIO FREQUENCIES Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B5/12

Abstract RU 2831419 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to medicine, namely to preventive medicine, and can be used in screening audiometry for diagnostic purposes during mass preventive examinations of the population. Disclosed is a method in which a patient is successively presented with sound signals in the frequency range at three tone signal levels of 20, 30 and 45 dB. At the same time starting with a tone signal of 20 dB. If the patient replied “There is a signal” at all frequencies at a signal level of 20 dB, further tests are not performed and the hearing condition is considered to be excellent. If at least at one of the frequencies at the signal level of 20 dB the patient responds “No signal”, the next pass is started at the signal level of 30 dB. And if the patient replied “There is a signal” at all frequencies at a signal level of 30 dB, then the condition is assessed as a potential risk of hearing loss. If at least at one of the frequencies at the signal level of 30 dB the patient responds “No signal”, the next pass is started at the frequencies at the signal level of 45 dB and the condition is assessed as the first degree of hearing loss. If at least at one of the frequencies at the signal level of 45 dB the patient responds “No signal”, then the condition is assessed as the second degree of hearing loss.

EFFECT: invention provides rapid assessment of hearing in a short period of time during mass preventive examinations of the population.
