METHOD OF EARLY EXTENDED AUDIOLOGIC DIAGNOSTICS OF AUDITORY DISORDERS, CAUSED BY DISSEMINATED SCLEROSIS Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B5/00 A61B6/03

Abstract RU 2374983 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is intended fir early extended audiologic diagnostics of auditory disorders caused by disseminated sclerosis. Carried out are: pure tone threshold audiometry in extended range of frequencies to 20 kHz, registration of otoacoustic emission, registration of short-latent evoked potentials, speech audiometry, tympanometry, acoustic reflexometry with maximal stimulation to 120 dB, computer electronystamography. Said examinations are compared with results of brain MRT. If threshold increases on 30-70 dB in case of high-frequency audiometry mainly at frequency 12.5 and 16 kHz on the side of ear that hears worse, during tympanometry tympanogram of A type is obtained, threshold increases or contra-lateral acoustic reflex is missing, there is dissociation of ipsi- and contra-lateral acoustic reflexes, amplitude reduction, increase of latency of II-III peaks during examination of short latent evoked potentials and if on MRT focuses of demyelination in area of conductive auditory pathways in different parts of brainstem are detected, retrocochlear dimyelinating lesion of auditory analyser is diagnosed.

EFFECT: claimed method allows to sort out early diagnostic criteria of dimyelinating retrocochlear lesion of organs of hearing.
