METHOD FOR CARRYING OUT THE DIAGNOSTIC STAGE OF UNIVERSAL AUDIOLOGICAL SCREENING OF NEWBORNS AND CHILDREN OF THE FIRST YEAR OF LIFE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B5/12

Abstract RU 2782294 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to audiology-otorhinolaryngology, and can be used in the diagnostic stage of the universal audiological screening of newborns and children of the first year of life. All children referred for the diagnostic stage of universal audiological screening of newborns and children of the first year of life, at the first stage, screening short-latency auditory evoked potentials, evoked otoacoustic emission and tympanometry are performed. If screening short-latency auditory evoked potentials, evoked otoacoustic emission and type A tympanogram are registered in both ears, then the child does not need further audiological examination. Otherwise, at the second stage, a clinical variant of short-latency auditory evoked potentials and stationary auditory evoked potentials is recorded to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment.

EFFECT: method provides reducing the duration and simplifying the audiological screening procedure by supplementing the diagnostic screening stage with preliminary registration of screening short-latency auditory evoked potentials induced by otoacoustic emission and tympanometry for all referred children in a state of calm wakefulness, which allows you to quickly identify children with normal hearing.
