FIELD: polymers.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polypropylene compositions and products made thereof. Proposed is a polypropylene composition (P) for producing films, containing: a) 88.0 to 96.0 wt.%, as calculated for the total mass of the polypropylene composition (P), of a copolymer (C) of propylene and 1-hexene, including i) a first statistical propylene copolymer (A) of propylene and 1-hexene, with a content of 1-hexene in the range from 0.1 to 4.0 wt.%, and ii) a second statistical propylene copolymer (B) of propylene and 1-hexene, with a content of 1-hexene higher than that of the first statistical propylene copolymer (A), wherein the content of 1-hexene is in the range from 4.0 to 15.0 wt.%, wherein the copolymer (C) has a content of xylene cold soluble substances (XCS) in the range of 8.0 wt.% to 30.0 wt.%, and b) 4.0 to 12.0 wt.%, as calculated for the total mass of the polypropylene composition (P), of a plastomer (PL) constituting an elastomeric copolymer of ethylene and at least one C4-C10 α-olefin, characterised by a density of 0.860 to 0.930 g/cm3. Also proposed are a method for producing the above composition, a film produced on the basis of the proposed composition, and an application thereof as a weldable layer in multilayer films.

EFFECT: proposed polypropylene composition allows for production of films with excellent impact strength with the maintained high rigidity, wherein said films have good optical properties, such as turbidity before and after sterilisation.
