FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing 2,3-fullero[60]-1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane by the formula (1), usable as a precursor for production of a number of medicinal products - analgesics, spasmolytics, psychotropic, antitumour, antirheumatic, antihistamine preparations. Method for producing 2,3-fullero[60]-1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane is implemented by means of a reaction of fullerene C60 with piperazine under the impact of ultrasound (22 or 44 kHz, 20 W) at a molar ratio of C60:piperazine of 1:0.5 to 2, in air, at room temperature, in a medium of toluene:DMFA=1:0.2 (volume ratio), for 30 to 120 minutes.

EFFECT: selective production of 2,3-fullero[60]-1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (1) with high yield.
