FIELD: welding.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to stabilize and control welding processes in continuous electric arc welding or surfacing in robotic industries. The central processing unit (CPU) is loaded with reference voltage parameters depending on the thickness and type of metal. A modulating signal is supplied, which changes the parameters of the signal from the welding power source to create detectable acoustic vibrations created by the welding arc due to the presence of discharges in the air. The energy of acoustic vibrations is converted into an electrical signal and fed to the CPU, which controls the movement of the arm of the manipulator and the power supply of the welding power source by comparing the voltage received from the acoustoelectric transducer with a reference voltage, while the manipulator sets the required length of the welding arc. The stepper motor driver regulates the power supply to the stepper motors, while it adjusts the angle of rotation of the stepper motors.

EFFECT: method provides high accuracy and quality of welding.
