FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine and is a method for the treatment of acute bacterial skin or skin structure infection (ABSSSI) in an adult human subject. The method for the treatment is carried out by injection of an oral loading dose in the form of two doses of 450 mg of 9-[(2,2-dimethyl-propylamino)methyl]minocycline, which are injected in 24 hours or 48 hours, respectively, before the first of the administered oral doses of 300, 450 or 600 mg once a day for 5 or more days. Doses are injected in the form of tablets of 150 mg.
EFFECT: development of an improved method for the treatment of acute bacterial skin or skin structure infection (ABSSSI) in an adult human subject based on oral antibacterial agent – omadacycline.
