FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of adsorption technology for the production of modified activated carbons. The method for producing modified activated carbon includes washing industrial activated carbon (AC) with distilled water, treatment with a 5% glycine solution at a ratio of coal weight (g) to solution volume (cm3),1:100 for 24 hours, and then further heating at a temperature of 200°C in an air atmosphere for 1 hour.
EFFECT: increase in the sorption capacity of activated carbons by dimethylformamide, the exclusion of explosive reagents.
