FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for organosolvent lignins sulfation is implemented by reacting lignins with a sulfating complex in a solvent at continuous stirring and heating, followed by isolation of the desired product. As the sulfating agent, a sulfamic acid-urea complex is used, prepared by mixing equimolar amounts of reagents in dioxane at a temperature of 80-95°C, hydromodule 1:5, for 2.5-3.5 hours, at a ratio of the lignin amounts to the sulfating complex of 1:6-8 (g:mmol). The product is isolated by solvent neutralisation and decantation, then purified from low molecular weight impurities by dialysis.
EFFECT: invention allows to simplify the method, increase its environmental friendliness, and expand the range of sulphate reagents for lignin.
