FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a new compound, 3-(3,4-dinitropyrazole-5-yl)-4-nitrofurazane of the formula:
being a fusible heat-resistant explosive, and to the method for its production. Compound 1 can be used in explosive compositions manufactured by casting, and also as a component of solid rocket fuels and energy-intensive compositions for various purposes operated at elevated temperatures. Compound 1 can also be used as a semi-product for the synthesis of analogues or find application in organic synthesis.
EFFECT: a new compound has been obtained, which has a significantly lower melting point than the known analogue, and higher energy characteristics than that of a standard explosive, such as TNT.
