FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic chemistry, namely to azo[5-(4-nitrofurazan-3-yl)-2-(1,3,4-thiadiazole)] of formula (I). Invention also relates to a method of producing said compound.
EFFECT: creation of a new compound characterized by a combination of a high temperature of the beginning of intensive decomposition above 260 °C, positive enthalpy of formation (ΔHf>700 kcal/kg), high density (ρ>1,75g/cm3), high total content of nitrogen, oxygen and sulphur ([N+O+S]>75 %) and optimum oxidizer excess ratio (α≥0,3), which provides efficiency of its use as a component of explosive compositions and other energy condensed systems, as well as in development of method of obtaining this compound.
