FIELD: oceans and seas studying means.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical means for studying the shelf zones of the oceans and seas, in particular the development of underwater gamma probes equipped with measuring equipment. The probe is made in the form of a sealed cigar-shaped underwater vehicle equipped with steering horizontal surfaces, a stabilizer and a cable-cable fastening system mounted on the axis of rotation of the steering surfaces. A frame with a block of equipment is installed inside the hull, at the end of which a gamma spectrometer is located in the aft part of the hull, made of radio-transparent. The probe is equipped with an orientation and navigation system and contains a set of hydrological sensors.

EFFECT: possibility of continuous measurement of parameters of gamma radiation of the surrounding marine environment both along the vertical profile and along the horizontal, near-bottom profile for the study of bottom sediments.
