FIELD: metal protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of protection of metals from corrosion. It is proposed to use the products of the purification of spent engine oil, isolated during the cleaning process with the help of separating agent carbamide as a protective coating of the steel pipeline from underground corrosion. Waste engine oil purification products belong to the third hazard class, are accessible due to the lack of restrictions on the raw material base, are hydrophobic, in addition, they are an inhibitor of anodic action against underground corrosion of steel, their protective efficiency reaches 70-95%.
EFFECT: resulting products are hydrophobic and are an inhibitor of anodic action against underground corrosion of steel.
