SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a support element for supporting an elongated beam and to a method for supporting an elongated beam. The invention also relates to a combination of a beam and the said support element supporting the said beam. In addition, the invention relates to a rotary platform and, in particular, among others, to a rotary milking platform. The rotary milking platform comprises a platform containing a circular load-bearing beam (7) attached to the underside of the platform. The load-bearing beam (7) is supported on a set of support elements (10), each of which contains a freely rotating roller (35), which is adapted for rolling coupling with the lower surface (38) of the load-bearing beam (7). Each support element (10) contains an anchor plate (27) mounted with the possibility of adjustment on the corresponding element (20) of coupling with the ground, which is attached to the ground. The load-bearing plate (40) is supported on four guide bolts (50) extending upwards from the anchor plate (27). Side elements (41) extending downwards from the bearing plate (40) support a roller (35) with the possibility of rotating. Compression springs acting between the thrust washers attached to the guide bolts (50) and the bearing plate (40) press the bearing plate (40) to the heads (53) of the guide bolts (50). Compression springs compensate for the downward and upward movement of the roller (35) to compensate for the lifting and lowering of the lower surface (38) of the beam (7). Compression springs provide rotation of the roller (35) around the axis of rotation, which runs in the direction of movement of the beam (7) to facilitate the rotation of the roller (35) to track the non-horizontal bottom surface (38) of the beam (7). The said axis of rotation is located directly below the contact line of the roller (35) with the bottom surface (38) of the beam (7) to minimize the transverse displacement of the roller relative to the beam (7) when the roller (35) rotates around the axis of rotation.
EFFECT: creation of a rotary milking platform, in which its weight is equally supported on the corresponding support elements, which in turn leads to uniform wear of the rollers and increases the service life of the rollers and reduces the frequency of repairs and maintenance required to maintain a rotary platform suitable for operation.
