FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to methods for calibration and installation of protection devices for operation under predetermined modes, and can be used to test relay protection and automation. To do this, the method uses a block for generating impacts, a block for analyzing the stability of an electric power system, a block of measurement and control equipment, a block for generating reports, and a relay protection and automation unit. At the same time, the block of forming impacts contains a block for calculating the sequence of impacts, a block for simulating impacts from the external environment, a block for simulating impacts from electrical equipment. This makes it possible to form cascading effects with successive time intervals corresponding to the actuation settings of automatic re-activation devices and maximum current protection and not allowing relay protection and automation to withdraw the electric power system from the emergency mode, provides the reduction of the level of dynamic stability to a critical level.
EFFECT: expansion of the functionality of checking relay protection and automation under cascade effects, taking into account changes in the level of stability of the electric power system and the impact of the external environment on relay protection and automation.
