SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil industry and can be used to measure the flow rate of wells. In the device, the lower part of the separator from its outer side is connected to the drip separator by a liquid line, where a density meter is installed, and the upper part of the separator from its outer side by a gas pipe is connected to the drip separator on the liquid line through two siphons, one of which ends on the liquid line by a hydrocyclone located on the liquid line below the level of the second hydrocyclone, on which the second siphon ends, where the final overlap of the gas phase with the liquid phase occurs, and which has a beginning on the gas pipe at a level below the level of its termination by a hydrocyclone. The output and measuring lines, the shut-off valve are mounted vertically together with the flow meter, local resistance for the liquid phase of the medium being measured can be mounted on the output line after the drip collector, and local resistance for the passage of the liquid phase of the medium being measured can be installed on the second siphon. According to the method, the formation of the boundary between the liquid phase and the gas phase with a minimum gas-liquid phase is provided on the vertical section of the measuring line when changing liquid to gas, by a sharp change in the densities of the measured medium in the shut-off valve by quickly closing the direct-acting shut-off valve, the formation of the boundary between the gas phase and the liquid phase with a minimum gas-liquid phase can be ensured by creating a pressure difference between the separator and the common collector during the passage of the liquid phase at the local resistance of the second siphon with an increase in the level of the liquid phase in the separator and sequential filling with the liquid phase after the first siphon, the second siphon and, as a consequence, an increase in the rate of filling with the liquid phase of the measured medium of the second siphon and the output line, the passage of the liquid phase of the measured medium along the liquid line to the output line through the local resistance, they can receive additional resistance and pressure difference between the separator and the common collector, due to which the level of the liquid phase between the separator and the gas line is leveled, and subsequently, when the liquid phase level is squeezed out and reduced, between the level in the siphons and the subsequent lowering of the level in the siphons, gas breaks into the measuring line and when the densities of the media being measured in the shut-off valve, its abrupt closure occurs.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of measuring the flow rate of oil wells.
