FIELD: retrograde display mechanisms.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a retrograde display mechanism equipped with a safety device. The retrograde display mechanism (1) contains a wheel (6) for displaying information, while this display wheel (6) is set in motion at regular intervals by a drive dog (4) mounted on the wheel, which, in turn, is driven by the clock mechanism , to change the information displayed by the retrograde movement (1) of the display from one value to the immediately following value, wherein the specified retrograde movement (1) display also contains an intermediate device (66) that allows the user of the watch to manually correct the information displayed by the retrograde movement (1) indication by acting on the correction finger (72), which drives the wheel (6 ) indication, wherein said retrograde display mechanism (1) also contains a safety device (52) that allows blocking the intermediate correction device (66) by preventing the finger (72) from actuating the correction wheel (6) during the period of time when the information is changed, displayed by the retrograde movement (1) of the indication, and when the drive pawl (4) is in engagement with the wheel (6) of the indication.

EFFECT: enabling the user of the watch to manually correct the readings of the movement without the risk of breakage.
