SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical industry and agriculture and can be used for processing municipal sewage sludge, manure and droppings. To produce the base of an agent based on plant raw materials for treating sewage sludge, water is supplied to a vertical mixer reactor at a temperature of 55 to 75°C in an amount of 1/2 to 2/3 of the capacity of the reactor. Mixing is started at a rate of 70 to 100 rpm, and copper sulphate in an amount of 0.1 to 0.8 wt.%, wheat grain in an amount of 8.9 to 15.2 wt.%, and caustic soda in an amount of 1.7 to 4 wt.% of the total mass of loaded components are loaded into the reactor. The reactor is sealed and the mixing rate is increased to 150-170 rpm. Air is supplied to the reactor at a pressure of 5 to 6 atm. The reaction is terminated after complete dissolution of the entire wheat grain and upon reaching the pH of the solution from 12 to 12.7. Throughout the entire reaction, the temperature of the reaction mixture is maintained from 55 to 75°C, wherein the pressure inside the reactor is reduced to 4 atm every 15 to 30 minutes after supplying air to the reactor.

EFFECT: invention increases the efficiency of sewage sludge processing and eliminates the need of using a detoxifying reagent.
