FIELD: petroleum industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the petroleum industry, namely, to apparatuses for securing an electric current-carrying cable on a submersible pump in a borehole. The apparatus for securing an electric cable on a submersible pumping unit comprises a body consisting of two parts coupled so as to envelop the submersible pumping unit in the areas of connection of the pumping sections and interconnected by means of a detachable connection. The body has protective protrusions integrated therewith and is equipped with a longitudinal internal chute for laying the cable. The inner chute is equipped with a bracket configured to press the electrical cable to the surface of the body. The body is equipped with a height-adjustable dielectric plate provided with a groove corresponding to the horizontal section of the electric cable and equipped with a screw attachment to the body. The bracket has a shape corresponding to the horizontal section of the electrical cable. The body and the bracket are therein made of stainless alloyed steel irradiated on an electron accelerator with accelerated electron energy of at least 1.5 MeV.

EFFECT: increase in the service life of the apparatus, reduction in the risk of electrochemical and chemical corrosion, possibility of applying cables varying in size, configuration and cross-section.
