FIELD: household appliances.
SUBSTANCE: coffee machine (1) contains at least control unit (3), pump (4) for supplying water for infusion, boiler (6) for heating water for infusion, infusion unit (7), coffee grinder (2), user interface unit (8) including at least selector (9) of a drink and/or a dose of ground coffee, wherein coffee grinder (2), in turn, contains hopper (10) for coffee beans, rotating millstone (11) and non-rotating millstone (12), engine (13) for bringing rotating millstone (11) into relative rotation by direct or indirect means, and also a device for regulating the distance between millstones (11, 12), characterized in that it additionally contains first sensor (23) to determine a number of rotations and/or a speed of the engine and/or rotating millstone (11) and second sensor (22) to determine the distance between millstones (11, 12), wherein control unit (3) contains an algorithm for calculating the correct dose of coffee, while the calculation algorithm is made with the possibility of receiving as an input parameter from selector (9) a value of selected amount of ground coffee, and from second sensor (22) - a value of the distance between millstones (11, 12), so that to automatically generate as an output parameter a value of the total number of rotations that engine (13) must perform to obtain the correct dose of ground coffee, wherein control unit (3) is made with the possibility of receiving as an input parameter from first sensor (23) the current value of a number of rotations and/or a speed of engine (13) and/or rotating millstone (11) to issue a stop signal to stop engine (13) upon reaching the specified total number of rotations.
EFFECT: providing a coffee machine and a process for controlling the coffee grinder of the specified coffee machine, which will allow for determining the correct dose of ground coffee, in particular, so that organoleptic characteristics of the product in the cup correspond to those actually selected by the user.
