FIELD: recycling.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for recycling of a polyester compound of polyether compound textile material. The method includes stages of providing polyether compound textile material impregnated with a mixture containing a solvent and a catalyst; providing and maintaining the temperature of a mixture containing polyether compound textile material in the range from 80°C to 240°C during depolymerization of a polyester compound contained in polyether compound textile material; and where, at the stage of providing polyether compound textile material impregnated with a mixture, a catalyst that is part of this mixture contains calcium oxide. The invention also relates to the use of a catalyst for depolymerization of a polyester compound contained in polyether compound textile material, where the catalyst contains calcium oxide.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to lower the depolymerization temperature of a polyester compound due to the catalyst used in the method; depolymerization at lower temperatures contributes to more environmentally friendly recycling of polyester compound textile materials.
