SUBSTANCE: method for processing polyester from a polyester textile material involves impregnating the polyester textile material with a mixture of a solvent and a catalyst containing calcium hydroxide. The polyester contained in the polyester textile material is then depolymerized at a temperature ranging from 80 to less than 230°C. The use of a catalyst for depolymerization of polyester has also been proposed.
EFFECT: increasing the yield of the product at a lower depolymerization temperature.
