FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to a filling composition that can be used in a fiber-optic cable. The filling composition contains the following amounts of components, wt. %: (A) from 1 up to less than 5 of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) powder; (B) styrene-ethylene/propylene block copolymer; and (C) mineral oil having kinematic viscosity from 32 cSt to 100 cSt at 40°C. A fiber-optic cable is also proposed, which contains a buffer tube, at least one optical fiber in the buffer tube and the specified filling composition.
EFFECT: reduced stickiness and the ability of being absorbed by materials used in the manufacture of cable components (such as buffer tubes, shells, etc.), along with increased eco-friendliness.
