FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to multi-channel signal processing systems wherein synchronous protocols I2S (Inter-IC Sound Bus) and SPI (Serial Peripheral Bus) are used for serial data exchange and unified synchronisation of the processed data is provided. To realise the described result, a system and a method for synchronously combining data streams are proposed, wherein transformation of a standard LRCK pulse sampling signal of the I2S format or a CS pulse microchip selection signal of the SPI format into an LRCLt signal containing a time stamp code, as well as marker codes for the beginning and end of the clock synchronisation signal, is provided. The presence of the marker codes and the time stamp provides a possibility of restoring an LRCK or CS pulse signal, respectively, while binding the value of each discrete sample to the time stamp.
EFFECT: removed restriction on the amount of fully synchronised data streams in the I2S or SPI formats, i.e., provided possibility of building multi-channel systems with an unlimited amount of fully synchronised data streams, with simultaneous simplification of synchronisation and reduction in the requirements for hardware resources.
