SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of sealed and heat-insulating tanks for storage and/or transportation of a fluid medium, e.g., liquefied gas, and pertains to a corner structure for a tank. The tank for storage of a fluid medium comprises a first wall and a second wall, wherein each wall has a supporting structure, a heat-insulating barrier retained on the supporting structure, and a sealing membrane supported by a heat-insulating barrier. The corner structure therein is intended to be placed in the corner between the first wall and the second wall. The corner structure comprises a corner bracket provided with a first wing and a second wing, an anchoring apparatus containing a first and second intersecting tabs. The first and second tabs are therein intended to be hermetically welded to the sealing membrane of the walls. The corner bracket is therein attached to the anchoring apparatus intended to be attached to the supporting structure of the first and second walls. The corner structure also comprises an insulation panel located in a space defined by the inner section of the first tab and the outer portion of the second tab, and a side insulating sealing element compressed between the insulation panel and the outer section of the second tab.

EFFECT: heat insulation characteristics are improved.
