SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of making a tank structure element (1). Method includes steps of: providing auxiliary insulating structure (2) containing a support surface, providing a plurality of main insulating units (3). Further, separator (21) is placed between the first main insulation block from a plurality of main insulation blocks (3) and a second main insulation block from a plurality of main insulation blocks (3) so that spacer (21) maintains a predetermined distance between the first main insulation block and the second main insulation block. Main insulating blocks are fixed on support surface of auxiliary insulating structure (2), holding separator (21) between said first main insulating block and the second main insulation unit so as to maintain a given distance between the first main insulation unit and the second main insulating block when attaching the first main insulating block and the second main insulating block.
