FIELD: payment security.

SUBSTANCE: this invention is a complex system of a “dynamic security code” (hereinafter – DSC) that can change a security code of prepaid, debit or credit cards of a payment card. In order to prevent fraud “without physical presence of a card”, the DSC system provides values of the dynamic security code (hereinafter – DSC values) that can have limited use. DSC values provided by this DSC system can be calculated using different methodologies and can be used within existent standard infrastructures of payment cards. The DSC system can also be used with other form factors and in other environments that are not connected to payments, for example, when requesting the remainder. DSC values can be calculated by a DSC server-generator or on the card itself.
